The myth of perfectionism
Perfectionism is not the healthy pursuit of excellence. There are big differences between  perfectionists and healthy achievers. Perfectionists believe that mistakes must never  be made and that the highest standards of performance must always be achieved.

Those who  strive for excellence in a healthy way take genuine pleasure in trying to meet high standards  and learn and grow from every mistake. Perfectionists on the other hand are full of self-doubts  and fears of disapproval, ridicule and rejection. The healthy striver has drive, while  the perfectionist is driven.

South Indian Monkey Trap   jwalk
The "South Indian Monkey Trap" was developed by villagers to catch the ever-present and numerous  small monkeys in that part of the world. It involves a hollowed-out coconut chained to a stake.  The coconut has some rice inside which can be seen through a small hole. The hole is just big  enough so that the monkey can put his hand in, but too small for his fist to come out after he  has grabbed the rice.

Tempted by the rice, the monkey reaches in and is suddenly trapped.  He is not able to see that it is his own fist that traps him, his own desire for the rice. He rigidly  holds on to the rice, because he values it. He cannot let go and by doing so retain his freedom.  So the trap works and the villagers capture him.

Perfectionists need to rethink their own  values and decide whether they are going to continue to be trapped by these values or free  themselves.

Perfection for me is related to death, a neurotic behavior of pursuing something impossible!  It's like with the monkey trap where the monkey can't see any other possibility.
To try to  be perfect means that you have an ideal of perfection, something you want to copy, a model  you want to ape. Do you want to be a plastic imitation of something or someone?

War
War is absolutely necessary for the development of new technologies we cannot afford living without. And still more important, to grant peace we must go through some inevitable wars.
During war times fighting for a noble cause our lives get real meaning and we have that feeling of belonging to something bigger.
No matter the casualties, the broken hearts, the material losses and the damages to nature, war is a valid tool to make prevail what we think is the right point of view.
The "True-Love" myth says that I will live happily ever after when I find my true love.

One famous psychiatrist said:" nothing has produced more unhappiness than the concept of the soul mate".
In the movies the true love exist because they always end when the guy gets the girl, or vice versa. But they don't describe what happens after the marriage or the live in common.

Are you ready? Let's hear about your story about True-Love, for sure everyone has dream about her/his soul mate. I will write my story too.
Is medicine really improving our health and the quality of our lives? Aren't we becoming lifelong patients, addicted to prescribed drugs and treatments? We give too much power to doctors and simply forget or don't believe we can take care of our health.
The concept is that one can invest in small bottles of very expensive skin creams for the eyes, face and even hands. These bottles are filled with liquids that are advertised as being 'based on solid, scientific, findings and 25 years of proven success, this is the one skincare treatment your skin cannot live without'
